Ava is a self assured latent shifter who knows what she wants and what she doesn't She is happy with her job boyfriend and life Or so she tells herself On a road trip she suddenly finds herself in Strange Hollow A town that didn't exist on her GPS up until right before she ended up there The woman she meets when she arrives assures her she is supposed to be in Strange Hollow Maybe she will find that which she doesn't think she needs according to the woman who welcomed her After a strange gust of wind Ava finds herself in a different time same place Women wear corsets and layers of clothing No high heels and certainly no carsLeft to stand on the sidewalk talking to her Wolf she attracts the attention of a banker named Simon He has no idea why this woman is in his town wearing strange clothing but he knows he needs her The two of them are unuestionably drawn together Sadly their time is limited Ava and Simon find themselves in a whirlwind romance full of heat and passion A relationship Ava tries very hard to fight She doesn't want to fall in love with someone she cannot spend eternity with She may be whisked back in time any moment Useless to fight it she surrenders and opens her soul to himI was on the edge of my seat through every page turning moment The characters and secondary characters in this book need their own stories I wanted to know about them and I hope there will be about this town called Strange Hollow Sandra Sookoo describes the townspeople and the place so vividly It's a place you are certainly sucked into After I finished the book I had a hard time remembering I wasn't 'actually' thereIt has a 'not so typical ending and you will not forget it It was a refreshing twist on the happily ever after The sassyness of Ava and her wolf combined with the charm and desperation of SImon are a wonderful combination I laughed I cried and a few hours after reading this I still teared up thinking about itDefinitely a great read

I really enjoyed this book because of it's unconventionalism Latent shifter time travel to an interesting town where half caste paranormals live hope love and heartbreak all leading to an unforeseeable ending Wow I was immediately sucked into this book by Ava and her latent wolf I could see everything unfold as it was described It was easy to picture myself in Strange Hollow watching the events and people Magic sent Ava there and magic saved Ava in a sense The ending is not typical and I REALLY enjoyed that I laughed I cried and I stil get choked up when I think about it Sandra did an amazing job of relaying the emotion's of her characters through her story I hope there will be stories revolving around Strange Hollow I'd love to delve deeper into this town and it's residents past and present This book has set a stage that awaits wonderful performances This really is a great story of fantasy and love transcending time

This story jumped around a lot nothing really built upelaborated properly IMO The heroine was a bit of a jackass her dissing of the woman who offered her sanctuary peeved me off no end I am a massive fan of a 'bitchy' heroine but this character was just plain selfish and stupid The hero a unredeemed manwhore with no real redeeming characteristicsThe romance pretty non existent really An all round meh from me on this one
